Consultations

All consultations are by appointment only. We do try and keep as close as possible to appointment times, however, there are instances when cases are longer and more complex than others and also the odd emergency presents itself which can increase waiting times.

Emergencies

Mobile VetThe practice provides a 24 hour emergency service every day throughout the year. This service is carried out both at The Mount Veterinary Hospital and on a Mobile Basis.
Please ring 0800VETCALL or 07 572 4200 where you will speak to someone directly, not an answerphone.

Telephone Advice

We will always endeavour to provide you with up to date advice and information to your queries over the phone, however, most clinical problems are better dealt with by bringing your pet to the practice. An example would be vomiting/diarrhoea, 24hour hours of withholding food may be all that is necessary, but this may also indicate an underlying disease such as pancreatitis, intestinal foreign body or poisoning.

General Advice

Our staff will always be very happy to provide you with any information or advice regarding preventative healthcare, pre-op and post-op care, administering medication, bandage/dressing care, vaccination/worming and flea treatment, pet passport, training and behaviour.
